The Journey Continues - Hitting the Ground Running.

It has been a few weeks since I have posted, but so much as happened. I am now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Talladega College in Talladega, AL. We finally finished building our website. That was a journey within itself. I will spare you the ugly details. We are on the move with our Young, Gifted, and Powerful (YGP) Leaders program. It is a program where 40 middle school students (20 general education students, and 20 special education students) will experience as series of leadership modules, incentives - based field trips, community service projects, and a formal Black Tie Event. We are also planning for our VL Get Fit program where we will be tackling the issue of childhood obesity with youth and their families. This is not an easy journey, but it has been well worth it.

We have so much work to do with our youth and some of their parents. Busy, Busy, Busy..... We are recruiting board members, and looking for volunteers. Contact me if you are interested in donating time, goods, or money. We need your support!!!
